A One-Week Stay in the Gamekeeper’s Cottage
on the Redstone Castle Estate near Aspen, Colorado
| This picturesque mountain cottage is the perfect spot for a wonderful family vacation that you’ll remember forever. It’s just outside Aspen, in a tiny village called Redstone. The Gamekeeper's Cottage was formerly part of the Redstone Castle Estate and is now on the National Register of Historic Places. This unique property on six acres is secluded yet within walking distance of the Crystal River and the quaint village of Redstone. The Cottage, originally a turn of the century carriage house, has a living room with vaulted ceilings, a wood stove for ambiance, master suite with queen log bed plus bath with a large soaking tub/shower and cozy robes.
The country kitchen is well equipped, open to the dining area with an antler chandelier, and large windows that look out to 80-year-old spruce and ponderosa. The former hayloft has been converted to a sitting/sleeping area with twin beds and another bath. Also provided is a tv/vcr with movies, books and board games. The Cottage has a private Jacuzzi under the stars to enjoy after great adventures. There’s a beautifully landscaped yard in an alpine setting which encourages barbecuing, a picnic, a game of horseshoes or a glass of wine and a good book. There’s plenty of room for six people.
