Silent Auction Item Number Three:
A Case of Los Cinco Locos Cabernet, Merlot, of Syrah

From left, Lou Weider, George Primbs, Richard Shalkewitz, Jhon Van Atta, and Howard Scar

Los Cinco Locos are George Primbs, John VanAtta, Howard Scar, Richard Shaikewitz, and Lou Weider. They are a group of retired and semi-retired professionals brought together by their love of wine and their desire to help others. Each year they produce half a dozen barrels of wine, or about 1,800 bottles, in a tiny winery tucked away in Montecito. Although they did not start out as professional vintners, the “Five Crazies” have educated themselves as wine makers and have picked up quite a collection of medals and ribbons.

They are also civic minded, donating much of what they produce to be consumed at public functions or auctioned to benefit worthwhile causes. They are responsible for raising tens of thousands of dollars for non-profit organizations each year.

Donated by Los Cinco Locos
Special thanks to Lou Weider for his help in securing this auction item.
